David holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of Maryland Baltimore County, and a Master of Music Degree from Shenandoah Conservatory.

David’s musical experiences have a few highlights. David most recently made his debut with the Garden State Opera Company of New Jersey as Calandrino in Mozart’s “
Loca Del Cairo.” He is privileged to be one of Opera Ebony’s newest Young Artists for the 2012-2013 season. David has covered the roles of Hob in Vaughn Williams, “The Poisoned Kiss and Don Ottavio in Mozart’s Don Giovanni with the Bronx Opera Company of New York. Additional operatic roles include Sam in Kurt Weill’s “Street Scene and Peter in George Gershwin’s “Porgy and Bess.” David has participated in Master classes adjudicated by Opera Greats Simmon Estes and Carmen Balthrop. Additionally, Mr. Marshall is a two time Rosa Ponselle Opera Competition honorable mention award winner. Most recently, David was honored to be inducted into the Nathan Carter School of Music Wall of Fame. David is sought after as a soloist, recitalist, and choral clinician in churches throughout Baltimore, the US, and abroad. In addition to David’s performing career, he enjoys an extensive teaching career.

David knows that singing is his God given gift and therefore singing will continue to be his ministry.
